What a life

Hillary comes home in 8 days. I miss her.

Kristen comes in 2 days.

Grant leaves for LeTourneau in 7 days.  I miss him already.

Kristen will leave in 17 days, which happens to be THE day of Valerie and Nathan's wedding.

I start teaching co-op classes in 20 days.  I'm missing too many hours of needed preparation time!

Oh my, what a life!

Check out where Hillary will be the next 30 days!

If you want to see Saranac Village in New York, along with Hillary, click this link, then scroll down to the link that says "Ipod Promo" and click "download."  You'll see a video that explains it all.  Matthew said he would help me upload it onto my site tomorrow, but for now the link will have to do.

Since Hillary will be there a month without frequent computer access, I'm sure she would LOVE getting snail mail from home.  Here's her address if you have time to write:

Health Research

I have been spending more time researching this week than I have done in a long time.  Scripture teaches us:  "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."  Hillary and I have recently received an unexpectedly timely education on the relationship of  environmental toxins to "insulin resistance" or  out-of-whack-blood-sugar-levels.   The dramatic improvements in our health, and our encouraging weight loss has spurred me to study more and more on topics related to gaining an edge on our toxic lifestyles.  This knowledge, although it's minimal and elementary in us, is giving us so much encouragement.

One doctor I have discovered is Mark Hyman, author of "Ultrametabolism,"  and "Ultraprevention."  He reminded me that chemicals and putrification processes in our body from toxic "foods" are only part of our toxic lifestyle.   Bad attitudes, harmful thoughts, unresolved anger and bitterness are literal toxins as well, setting in motion all kinds of hormonal dysfunctions and digestion problems.  I am committed to keeping this information and more of it in front of me, lest I continue living in denial concerning the unnecessary suffering and dysfunction I can choose each day.  I know Who to go to as my Source of peaceful thoughts.
I want to go to Him more.

Lord, give us courage and strength to face these giants and to look to You for the grace to overcome!  I appreciate the influence of Ana Clark and friends who are studying Jordan Rubin's book, "The Maker's Diet."  Since I so strongly believe that the Scriptures contain the instructions that lead to truth, I'm thankful for an author who will base his research on Biblical foundations. I suggest that everyone take the time to look into these warnings, and together we can gain hope for future health for our children and their families.

I realize many of our American friends and family do not believe the severity of these alarms....  just as no one in Noah's world believed his warnings about the flood!  But part of the unbelief could simply be a lack of knowledge.  This is what I hope to be addressing here.

I would love to converse with anyone who wants to know what I'm learning, or anyone who wants to share with me what you are learning along these same lines!

To life!
Renee

Thanks, Camille and Greg, for this:

Lord,
Thank you for the gift of HOPE
You gave us on Easter morning.
Because of You we know
That no problem is too difficult
And even death does not have power over us.
Thank you for the gift of JOY
You gave us when You were resurrected.
Because of You we know
That no matter how challenging life may be
In the end we will rejoice again.
Thank You for the gift of LOVE
You gave us when You laid down Your life.
Because of You we know
That there is no sin too great to separate us
And we are incredibly valuable to You.
Thank you for the gift of LIFE
You gave us when You left the tomb.
Because of Easter we know
This world is just the beginning
And we will spend forever in heaven with You.
We celebrate You, JESUS
With hearts full of praise and gratitude
For who You are and all You’ve done for us!

Amen
